![]() Joined: Wed Mar 21 2007, 06:58 Posts: 2709 | Sassy did not seem to be developing feathers normally, so she was removed from the nest and taken to rehab. It seems that there was a shortage of fruit flies to feed her. Very sadly, she died on February 20. The pic below is of Sassy just before she went to rehab. Phoebe is now preparing Jade and Julep's nest for eggs. ![]() | ||

I've read about how you can hang a banana peal by your hummingbird feeder in your yard to attract fruit flies for the hummers. If there's a shortage there, there may be one in your neighborhoods too. | ||
